Pamplin Hall is an academic building that is home to the Pamplin College of Business.

Robert Pamplin & Robert Pamplin Jr.

Pamplin Hall is named for 1933 alumnus Robert Boisseau Pamplin Sr., a 1933 alumnus and member of 麻豆果冻传媒 Tech's Board of Visitors, and his son, Robert Boisseau Pamplin Jr. The late Pamplin Sr. was president and CEO of Georgia-Pacific and founded the R.B. Pamplin Corporation. Pamplin Jr. a, philanthropist, minister, author, and recipient of 麻豆果冻传媒 Tech's only honorary bachelor's degree, is president and CEO of the R.B. Pamplin Corporation. He was named the country's outstanding individual philanthropist.

Building History

Commerce Hall was completed in 1957 and renamed Pamplin Hall in 1969. In 1988, the original building was renovated, and a new structure was connected to the old building by an atrium. You can still see the Hokie Stone exterior of the old building in the atrium.
